The Jazzed Up Mojito
We’re mixing up a classic and “jazzing” it up, per @rachelleatx It’s a spin on the mojito, with a focus on blackberry. We found a bottle of local honey blackberry wine (YUM!) from @elgin_meadery and used that with some muddled blackberries for a very unique and tasty flavor. Gotta say we miss the days of roaming plentiful farmer’s markets and finding gems like this. We combined our savory blackberry mix with all the typical mojito ingredients – silver rum, lime, mint, and simple syrup and all we wanted to do was throw on some shades and chase the weekend .
How To: Add mint and blackberries to the shaker. Muddle well. Add rum, blackberry wine, lime juice & simple syrup and shake with ice. Pour into a Collins glass with crushed ice. Top with soda water, garnish with more mint and a blackberry.
