Gin, Highball,

Alright @inthelandofjo , it’s your turn! The focus today is cantaloupe , and gotta say this was a first for us. Cantaloupe is kinda sweet without being extreme like some of the other fruits, so we knew to be careful of it getting shadowed by other flavors. It made us think of a salty dog… simple, with just gin and grapefruit, with a salt rim. If you’ve ever been to a dinner party where they serve the melon with a salty meat, you’ll understand where we’re going with this (and if you haven’t tried it, it is GOOD). We juiced a whole cantaloupe and it gave somewhere around 6oz of juice, enough for 2-3 of these tasty creations. Combined with gin, 1/2 an ounce of grapefruit and lime juice and 1/4oz simple syrup, the result was divine. This cocktail lasted through it’s photo sesh, but went down pretty quickly after . Give it a try at your next dinner party – it’s unique and great! Thanks for the inspiration!
How To: Juice 1/2 a cantaloupe. In a shaker, combine all ingredients with ice. Shake and serve in a highball glass with ice. Garnish with melon, prosciutto & mint.
