Margarita, Mezcal, Tequila,

Hakuna Matata – what a wonderful phrase! It also ain’t no passing craze… It means no worries, and today we’re passing that along. This worry-free concoction is a collaboration of flavors, starring @spellbound_syrups apricot shrub (thank you @inthelandofjo !). The trend this week is cocktails that use mezcal, and it’s been fun to see which flavors play nicely with the bold smoke flavors in it. Apricot is definitely one of them. We also threw a pineapple on the smoker and used it muddled with some Ancho Reyes liqueur to jump start all the fun. From there we added our apricot shrub, mezcal, tequila, a smidge apricot liqueur, lime juice and simple syrup. It’s a lot but we’re in that problem free philosophy mode and you know that always brings out the best.
How To: In a shaker, muddle pineapple. Add remaining ingredients and shake with ice. Serve over ice in a margarita glass rimmed with Tajin. Garnish with pineapple.
