Liqueur Based, Rum, Summer, Tiki, Wine,Bringing you a super clever tiki creation we adapted from @heavymuddle – The “Gooney Goo-Goo” . And if that name doesn’t make you curious we don’t know what will… We’re not 100% sure what it means, but Eddie Murphy has some ideas if you look it up – channel your inner 1990’s Eddie Murphy for a true flashback! Other than the name, one of the reasons this cocktail appealed to us was the (almost) complete lack of rum. Instead, you’re primarily using port wine and cognac. The combo is unique but oh so tasty – especially when those flavors come together with orange, lime and grapefruit juice with a splash of orgeat and simple syrup. Divine! The 1/2oz float of overproof rum was a nice touch too We garnished with mint, a cinnamon stick and pineapple ring, but you’ll definitely push those to the side pretty quick when you start gulping this down. Gooney Goo-Goo! Hey, maybe it means “bottoms up”?! ♀️
How to: Add all ingredients except rum to a shaker with ice. Shake and dirty dump into a tiki glass. Float rum. Garnish with cinnamon stick, dehydrated pineapple ring and mint sprig.
