Gin, Liqueur Based, Martini,In a time where travel and adventure have become more difficult, imagination is key . We dream of being on a beach somewhere in Italy, listening to wave on wave with that perfect sea breeze keeping us cool in the summer sun… ️ with a cocktail in hand of course . As we move into our week of Martini Madness, it seemed only appropriate to kick it off with some of the flavors we dream about, and hence the Ginger Sage Limoncello Martini was born. Limoncello is a lemon liqueur produced mainly in Southern Italy, and for the longest time we found ourselves scared to order it for fear of it being “too sweet”. My friends, there is nothing too sweet about this cocktail. It’s flavorful, strong, and perfectly balanced. Just close your eyes and pack your bags – it may take you to Capri, the Amalfi Coast, and beyond!
How to: In a shaker, muddle 2-3 sage leaves with 1 slice ginger and 1/4oz strong ginger sage syrup. Add remaining ingredients and ice. Shake and serve in a martini glass half rimmed with sugar. Garnish with candied ginger and sage.
