It’s spring here in Texas, which means it’s time to put some herbs and veggies in the ground and reap the benefits of some sun and warmer weather. We LOVE a good margarita, and this one doesn’t disappoint. Get a tequila you like, and let the fresh ingredients in this variation take your taste buds to a nice spring day…

In a shaker, muddle cucumber, mint, basil & jalapeno (optional if you like a little extra spice). Add ice and the following:

  • 3-4 oz tequila (used El Jimador in ours)
  • 1 oz lime juice
  • 1 oz lemon juice
  • .5 oz orange liqeur
  • .75-1 oz simple syrup

Shake until the outside of the shaker is pretty cold and/or condensating (like 20 seconds) and strain into a margarita or highball glass with ice.

Garnish with fresh herbs, jalapeno, cucumber, and lime. Just mix it up with a combo of these, it’s pretty!

Cheers!
