The Sunday Best…. end your week the way it’s supposed to end…

Roger Wallace has something rare in country music today: honesty, creativity, and more than enough talent to back it all up. You could say it’s all in the voice — and not just the powerful, rangy singing voice that has gained acclaim in roots-country circles for well over a decade. That voice attempts to speak not only in notes and words, but in a distinct musical vision, as well as unique views on the world around him. In the summer of 1994, Roger Wallace left his hometown and musical roots of Knoxville, TN at the age of 22 to pursue music as a way of life in Austin, TX. Unknowingly, he became part of a mass migration of alt-and-roots country artists to move to Austin in the early ’90’s, in his case literally passing right by Nashville to come to Austin — because, as he put it, “that’s where the music is.”

So come see for yourself, and:
Hang out under the trees.
Drink some beer that’s made here.
Hug your friends.
Enjoy some good food.
Swing your partners.

That’s the Sunday Best.
